It’s always a good day for fashion in Palm Beach, but when the occasion is one that will help people, all the better.
That’s what brought more than 150 guests to The Church of Bethesda-By-The-Sea on March 10, when some distinguished citizens took center stage.
St. Mary’s Guild and the popular Church Mouse resale store hosted the third annual Fashion Show Fundraiser at the church, where attendees gathered for an al fresco dinner in the garth as members of the clergy and staff modeled exclusive styles from store.
Sporting a Mandarin-style brocade suit, The Rev. Tim Schenck welcomed guests to the event. Later, he modeled a Mauff & Hoffman blazer.
The Flower guild crafted the flower arrangements.
The event raised over $18,000 for The Church Mouse, which donates all proceeds to local nonprofits. The shop, owned by the Episcopal church, offers fine clothing for bargain prices.
The Church Mouse, at 376 S. County Rd, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Those interested in donating items to the store can bring gently used donations of clothing, accessories, electronics, shoes, kitchenware, china crystal, furniture and books to the store’s specially marked “Donor door.“ At-home pick-up can be scheduled for larger items.
