Shipley Donuts, a Houston-based donut franchise, is going to open its first El Paso store in El Paso.
The franchise plans to open at 1710 N. Zaragoza Road, Suite 106, in the Zaraplex shopping center in front of Savers. The business is currently hiring and expects to open this spring, though an exact date has not been set, it told the El Paso Times.
Shipley is known for its handmade, fresh daily donuts and kolaches. It has more than 390 franchised and company-owned restaurants across 13 states.
“Shipley Donuts has been rapidly growing across the state and the nation, and we’ve been eagerly anticipating the chance to bring our first El Paso location to life,” said Shipley Donuts CEO Flynn Dekker in a release. “As we continue to grow our footprint, we look forward to making life delicious for those in the El Paso community who are experiencing our 90-year-old brand for the first time and learning why it’s a Texas icon.”
Shipley Donuts menu offers ‘Hot Glazed Guarantee’
Shipley offers more than 40 varieties of handmade daily donuts, including its famous signature glazed donut, which is cut into its iconic hexagon shape and then glazed. With Shipley’s Hot Glazed Guarantee, guests can order a glazed donut served warm until 12 p.m. every day, according to a company release.
Shipley is also known for its handmade, fresh-baked kolaches, which it offers in several varieties, including bacon, egg and cheese; ham and cheese; sausage and cheese; and sausage, jalapeno and cheese.
How to apply for a job at Shipley Donuts
The new shop, owned by Angie Silva, will create more than 40 jobs in the community. Interested candidates can apply in person at the shop beginning Tuesday, March 24. Company officials will be on site from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily until opening day.

Shipley Donuts hours
The El Paso Shipley Donuts will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. The 1,428-square-foot location will feature indoor and outdoor seating available (weather permitting) and an updated drive-thru.
Guests will be able to order online at https://shipleydonuts.com/ for easy in-store pickup, delivery and drive-thru. Guests who sign up for Shipley rewards at https://shipleydonuts.com/rewards will also receive two free donuts and can unlock additional rewards, including freebies, discounts and special offers.
