Tuesday, May 19

Madison 5, Ashland 2

The Madison Rams picked up an impressive 5-2 Ohio Cardinal Conference victory over Ashland on Tuesday night.

Caliyah Clapper led the Rams with two hits while Izzy Wamsley, Lexi Lewis, Makena Berkshire, Avery O’Brien and Sophie Lowe had one apiece. Berkshire collected two RBIs while Wamsley, Chloe Jeffers and Lowe had one apiece.

Campbell Kiser picked up the win in the circle allowing two runs on six hits with three strikeouts in five innings of work. Clapper closed things out to earn the two inning save allowing no runs on no hits with five strikeouts.

The Rams improve to 12-14 and take on Shelby at 4 p.m. on May 21 at Willard in the Division III district semifinals.

Monday, May 18

Ontario 12, Shelby 9

The Ontario Warriors took a 12-9 nonconference win over the Shelby Whippets on Monday night in a tournament prep game.

Lillian Gray led the Warriors with three hits while Saylor Smith, Morgan Pearson, Brinlee Kreger, Brylie Ireland and Callie Fagan had two apiece and Ellie Dawson and Sophie Schuster had one apiece. Pearson collected four RBIs while Smith and Gray had two apiece and Daweson, Kreger, Ireland and Fagan had one apiece. Gray, Pearson and Smith all slugged home runs in the victory.

Pearson picked up the win in the circle allowing two runs on six hits with four strikeouts in four innings of work.

Natalie Kennard led the Whippets with four hits while Karlie Walp, Kendall Bowman, Braylee Sturts, Jordyn Thauvette and Kelsey Young had two apiece and Elise Mullins, Makenna Moyer and Kerryn Seibert had one apiece. Kennard, Thauvette and Mullins collected two RBIs apiece while Bowman, Sturts and Young had one apiece.

Ontario improves to 20-6 and takes on Lexington on May 21 in the Division III district semifinal at Willard while Shelby falls to 22-6 and takes on Madison in the same district tournament at the same place.

Madison 8, Bellevue 4

The Madison Rams picked up a solid 8-4 nonconference win over Bellevue on Monday night.

Makenna Berkshire led the Rams with three hits while Izzy Wamsley and Caliyah Clapper had two apiece. Wamsley collected three RBIs while Clapper had one and Lexi Lewis had one apiece.

Clapper earned the win in the circle allowing one run on three hits with 10 strikeouts giving her 300 Ks for her career. Campbell Kiser polished off the final two innings allowing three runs, just two earned, on one hit with one strikeout.

The Rams improve to 11-14 and host Ashland on May 19.

Bucyrus 14, Lucas 2 F/5

The Lucas Cubs took a tough 14-2 nonconference loss to Bucyrus on Monday night.

Myah Midkiff, Olyvia Culler and Chelsea Sweet had one hit apiece for the Cubs. Sweet collected both RBIs and had a home run.

The Cubs fall to 7-10 and takes on Mohawk on May 20 at Buckeye Central in the district semifinals.

Friday, May 15

Clear Fork 4, Lexington 3

The Clear Fork Colts earned an impressive 4-3 nonconference win over Lexington on Friday.

Mya Perry and Millie Chamberlain led the Colts with two hits apiece while Jada Brokaw, Presley Lilly and Hailly Thrush had one apiece. Brokaw, Lilly and Chamberlain had one RBI apiece in the win.

Mariah Hatfield picked up the win in the circle allowing three runs, one earned, on four hits with two strikeouts in a complete game masterpiece.

Addison Williams led Lexington with two hits while Alexis Cantrell and Ashton Williams had one apiece. Addison Williams and Kylie Thornton had one RBI apiece.

Mariana Molton pitched well enough to win allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits with four strikeouts.

The Colts improve to 21-7 and take on Oak Harbor on May 19 at Margaretta in a district semifinal game while Lexington takes on Ontario on May 21 at Willard in a district semifinal.

Crestview 12, Western Reserve 2 F/6

The Crestview Cougars picked up a 12-2 Firelands Conference win over Western Reserve on Friday.

Allison Volz led the Cougars with four hits while Carlee Crider had three, Bria White and Mallory Ringler had two apiece and Madison Leidigh, Bella Hillman and Anna Rall had one apiece. Crider collected four RBIs while White had three, Rall had two and Ringler, Lily Kahl and Hillman had one apiece.

Volz took the win in the circle allowing two unearned runs on six hits with nine strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Cougars end the season 12-9.

Hiland 13, Mansfield Christian 7

The Mansfield Christian Flames took a tough 13-7 nonconference loss to Hiland on Friday night.

Cassidi Nelson led the Flames with four hits while Bailee Nelson had two and Maddie Hockman, Tori Zerby, Ayla Wilson and Jael Sterken had one apiece. Hockman collected two RBIs while Cassidi Nelson, Bailee Nelson, Lily Mowry and Allice Stauffer had one apiece.

The Flames end the season 11-8.

Thursday, May 14

Crestview 9, Western Reserve 4

The Crestview Cougars earned a nice 9-4 Firelands Conference win over Western Reserve on Thursday night.

Bella Hillman, Lindsey Bright and Allison Volz led the way with two hits apiece while Carlee Crider, Bria White and Maren Cunningham had one apiece. Crider had three RBIs while Volz had two and Madison Leidigh and Bright had one apiece.

The Cougars improve to 11-9 and host Western Reserve on May 15.

Wednesday, May 13

South Central 2, Plymouth 1

The Plymouth Big Red took a tough 2-1 Firelands Conference loss to South Central on Wednesday night.

Taylor Dean led the Big Red with two hits while Zarah Plank, Kristi Yeager and Karsyn Steele-Adkins had one apiece. Steele-Adkins had the lone RBI.

Madison Montgomery pitched well enough to win allowing two runs, one earned, on nine hits with five strikeouts in a complete game.

The Big Red falls to 2-20 and travels to South Central on May 13.

Bucyrus 11, Lucas 4

The Lucas Cubs took a tough 11-4 nonconference loss to Bucyrus on Wednesday night.

Myah Midkiff and Destiny Foss led the Cubs with two hits apiece while Charlize Stinehour and Arianna Ohm had one apiece. Midkiff and Emma Brown had one RBI apiece.

The Cubs fall to 6-9 and host Plymouth on May 15 in a Division VII sectional championship game.

Tuesday, May 12

Dover 10, Madison 0 F/5

The Madison Rams took a tough 10-0 Ohio Cardinal Conference loss to Dover on Tuesday night.

Izzy Wamsley and Campbell Kiser had one hit apiece for the Rams.

Madison falls to 10-14 and hosts Ashland on May 16.

Monday, May 11

Triway 5, Shelby 3

The Shelby Whippets took a narrow 5-3 nonconference loss to Triway on Monday night.

Kendall Bowman led the Whippets with two hits while Natalie Kennard, Karlie Walp, Jordyn Thauvette, Liberty Lewis and Makenna Moyer had one apiece. Lewis collected two RBIs while Walp had one. Lewis clubbed a home run in the loss.

The Whippets fall to 21-5 and host Ashland on May 14 in a sectional championship game.

Western Reserve 12, Plymouth 4

The Plymouth Big Red dropped a tough 12-4 Firelands Conference game to Western Reserve on Monday night.

Presley Martin and Makayla Bowman had two hits apiece while Kristi Yeager, Makayla Cunningham, Madison Montgomery, Taylor Dean, Karsyn Steele-Adkins and Autumn Roberts had one apiece. Martin, Cunningham, Montgomery and Dean had one RBI apiece.

The Big Red falls to 2-19 and hosts South Central on May 12.

Dover 3, Madison 0

The Madison Rams took a tough 3-0 Ohio Cardinal Conference loss to Dover on Monday night.

Allison Volz and Anna Rall led the Cougars with two hits apiece while Lindsey Bright, Carlee Crider, Madison Leidigh and Mallory Ringler had one apiece. Ringler and Leidigh collected two RBIs apiece while Volz had one.

Volz took the win in the circle allowing no runs on three hits with six strikeouts in a complete game masterpiece.

The Cougars improved to 9-8 and travel to St. Paul for an afternoon game on May 9.

Crestview 5, St. Paul 0

The Cougars capped off a stellar Saturday with a 5-0 Firelands Conference win over St. Paul.

Allison Volz led the way with two hits while Madison Leidigh, Carlee Crider, Bria White, Anna Rall, Bella Hillman and Mallory Ringler had one apiece. Ringler collected two RBIs while White and Volz had one apiece.

Ringler picked up the win in the circle allowing no runs on five hits with seven strikeouts in a complete game masterpiece.

The Cougars improved to 10-8 and travel to Huron on May 13 for a sectional championship game.

The Clear Fork Colts took a tough 4-0 nonconference loss to Northmor on Saturday.

Millie Chamberlain led the Colts with two hits while Jada Brokaw and Chloee Steward had one apiece.

The Colts fall to 19-7 and host Vermilion on May 13.

Mount Vernon 11, Madison 2

The Madison Rams took a tough 11-2 nonconference loss to Mount Vernon on Saturday morning.

Izzy Wamsley had two hist while Allie Shrader and Chloe Jeffers had one apiece for the Rams.

Madison falls to 10-11 and took on Marysville in Game 2 of a doubleheader.

Marysville 9, Madison 3

The Rams took another tough 9-3 nonconference loss to Marysville in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday.

Izzy Wamsley led the Rams with two hits while Lexi Lewis, Allie Shrader, Chloe Jeffers, Makena Berkshire and Sophie Lowe had one apiece. Wamsley collected two RBIs while Lewis had one.

The Rams fall to 10-12 and travel to Dover on May 12.

Friday, May 8

Shelby 13, Crestview 4

The Shelby Whippets picked up an impressive 13-4 nonconference win over the Crestview Cougars on Friday night.

Kelsey Young led the Whippets with three hits while Natalie Kennard, Karlie Walp, Elise Mullins and Liberty Lewis had two apiece and Kendall Bowman, Braylee Sturts and Jordyn Thauvette had one apiece. Sturts collected four RBIs while Walp and Thauvette had two apiece and Mullins and Makenna Moyer had one apiece. Sturts and Mullins each smashed home runs in the win.

Jadyn Bowman took the win in the circle allowing four runs on nine hits with two strikeouts.

Shelby improved to 21-4 and travels to Triway on May 11 while Crestview falls to 8-8 and takes on St. Paul and Monroeville on May 9.

The Clear Fork Colts picked up a 5-1 nonconference win over Fredericktown on Friday evening.

The Mansfield Christian Flames took a tough 3-1 nonconference loss to Western Reserve on Friday evening.

Tori Zerby and Bailee Nelson had one hit apiece for the Flames. Zerby had the lone RBI as she clubbed a solo home run.

The Flames fall to 11-6 and travel to New London on May 14.

The Shelby Whippets cruised to a 13-4 nonconference win over Crestview on Thursday night.

Alexis Cantrell, Quinn Patrick, Kylie Thornton, Mariana Molton, Camryn McGuire and Ashton Williams led Lex with one hit apiece. Thornton and McGuire collected two RBIs apiece while Patrick and Mady Taylor had one apiece.

Molton earned the win in the circle allowing one run on 10 hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.

Lexington improves to 12-9 and hosts Norwalk on May 13.

Mansfield Christian 3, Mount Gilead 1

The Mansfield Christian Flames picked up a solid 3-1 nonconference win over Mount Gilead on Thursday night.

Tori Zerby led the Flames with two hits while Bailee Nelson, Kaci Pollard, Lily Mowry and Brooklyn Badgley had one apiece. Cassidi Nelson and Maddie Hockman had one RBI apiece in the win.

The Flames improve to 10-5 and host Western Reserve on May 8.

The Lucas Cubs picked up an easy 20-6 nonconference win over Wellington on Thursday night.

Brooklyn Boquette led the Cubs with four hits while Myah Midkiff and Chelsea Sweet had three apiece, Charlize Stinehour and Olyvia Culler had two apiece and Katie Cuthbertson, Destiny Foss and Grace Green had one apiece. The Shelby Whippets cruised to a 13-3 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Pleasant on Wednesday night.

Karlie Walp, Kendall Bowman and Braylee Sturts led the way with three hits apiece while Jordyn Thauvette had two and Natalie Kennard, Katie Taylor, Elise Mullins, Liberty Lewis and Maddie Crose had one apiece. Sturts collected four RBIs while Walp and Bowman had two apiece and Thauvette, Kelsey Young and Taylor had one apiece. Sturts and Bowman both smashed home runs in the win.

Thauvette took the win in the circle allowing three runs on four hits with six strikeouts in four innings of work.

The Ontario Warriors picked up a solid 12-7 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over Highland on Wednesday night.

Saylor Smith, Ellie Dawson and Lillian Gray had three hits apiece while Morgan Pearson, Kylie Corwin, Sophie Schuster and Brylie Ireland had two hits apiece and Brinlee Kreger, Callie Fagan and Emryn Fanello had one apiece. Dawson had three RBIs while Schuster and Fanello added two apiece and Smith, Pearson, Kreger and Ireland had one apiece.

Pearson took the win in the circle allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings of relief work.

The Warriors improve to 18-5 and host Highland on May 7.

Clear Fork 12, River Valley 4

The Clear Fork Colts picked up a solid 12-4 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over River Valley on Wednesday night.

Mya Perry, Millie Chamberlain, Karlynn Mortimer and Chloee Steward led the Colts with two hits apiece while Jada Brokaw, Presley Lilly and Miley Shafer had one apiece. Lilly collected three RBIs while Mortimer had two and Chamberlain, Kylie Ludwig and Steward had one apiece.

Shafer picked up the win allowing two runs on five hits in two innings of work. Lilly worked the final five innings allowing two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Clear Fork improves to 18-5 and travels to River Valley on May 7.

The Lexington Lady Lex picked up a dominant 20-7 Ohio Cardinal Conference win over Ashland on Wednesday night.

Addison Williams led Lex with five hits while Ashton Williams had four, Alexis Cantrell, Quinn Patrick, Kylie Thornton and Mariana Molton had three apiece, Camryn McGuire had two and Kyra Boyd had one. Addison Williams collected six RBIs while Thornton and Molton had three apiece, Cantrell, McGuire and Ashton Williams had two apiece and Patrick had one.

Lex improves to 11-9 and hosts Ashland on May 7.

The Plymouth Big Red ended a long losing streak with a 15-11 nonconference win over Buckeye Central on Friday night.

Zarah Plank, Presley Martin and Makayla Cunningham led the Big Red with three hits apiece while Kristi Yeager and Makayla Bowman had two apiece and Karsyn Steele-Adkins, Taylor Dean and Autumn Roberts had one apiece. Plank, Montgomery, Cunningham, Yeager and Bowman had two RBIs apiece while Martin had one.

The Big Red improved to 2-16 and host Western Reserve on May 4.

Centerburg 8, Madison 5

The Madison Rams took a tough 8-5 nonconference loss to Centerburg on Friday night.

The Madison Rams began the 2026 season in style with a 16-0 win over Colonel Crawford in which they scored 11 runs in the top of the sixth for the run-rule victory.

Izzy Wamsley led the Rams with three hits while Caliyah Clapper, Campbell Kiser, Allie Shrader and Sophie Lowe had two apiece and Cadence Gushard rounded out the offense with one. Shrader collected four RBIs while Clapper had three, Gushard had two and Lexi Lewis, Kiser, Makena Berkshire, Lowe and Emma Mast had one apiece.

Clapper earned the win in the circle allowing no runs on four hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work. Kiser closed out the victory allowing one hit in her lone inning.

The Rams improve to 1-0 on the season and travel to Hillsdale on March 25.

Shelby 17, Marion Harding 3 F/5

The Shelby Whippets continued their hot offensive start to the season with a 17-3 victory over Marion Harding in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.

Natalie Kennard and Kendall Bowman led the Whippets with three hits apiece while MaKenna Moyer and Liberty Lewis had two apiece and Karlie Walp, Katie Taylor, Kelsey Young, Maddie Crose, Peyton Bruskotter, Jordyn Thauvette, Elise Mullins and Ruthie Faith had one apiece. Kennard had four RBIs while Bowman had three, Walp, Young and Faith had two apiece and Moyer and Lewis had one apiece.

Bruskotter earned the win in the circle allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in three innings of work.

The Whippets improve to 2-0 and host Marion Harding on March 25.

Clear Fork 12, Galion 3

The Clear Fork Colts picked up an important 12-3 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference win over Galion on Tuesday.

Jada Brokaw led the way with three hits while Mya Perry and Millie Chamberlain had two apiece and Kylie Ludwig, Miley Shafer, Presley Lilly, Karlynn Mortimer, Chloee Steward and Braylee Wenger rounded out the offense with one apiece. Brokaw, Ludwig and Shafer collected two RBIs apiece while Perry, Chamberlain and Steward had one apiece.

Shafer picked up the win in the circle allowing three runs, none earned, on five hits with three strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Colts are now 2-0 and host Galion on March 25.

River Valley 14, Ontario 3 F/5

The Ontario Warriors took a tough 14-3 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference loss to River Valley on Tuesday night.

Brinlee Kreger and Kylie Corwin led the Warriors with two hits apiece while Morgan Pearson and Lillian Gray had one apiece. Pearson, Corwin and Gray had one RBI apiece. Corwin and Pearson both slugged home runs.

The Warriors fall to 0-1 on the season and travel to River Valley on March 25.

Bucyrus 14, Plymouth 8

The Plymouth Big Red took a tough 14-8 nonconference loss to Bucyrus on Tuesday evening.

Makayla Bowman led the Big Red with four hits while Kristi Yeager and Makayla Cunningham had two apiece and Madison Montgomery, Taylor Dean and Karsyn Steele-Adkins had one apiece. Cunningham and Bowman had two RBIs while Montgomery and Steele-Adkins had one apiece.

The Big Red falls to 1-1 on the season and travels to Northwestern on March 28.

Monday, March 23

Shelby 12, Upper Sandusky 0 F/5

The Shelby Whippets picked up a 12-0 run-rule nonconference win over Upper Sandusky on Monday evening.

Braylee Sturts led the Whippets with three hits while Natalie Kennard and Kelsey Young added two apiece and Karlie Walp, Peyton Bruskotter, Makenna Moyer, Elise Mullins and Kendall Bowman had one hit apiece. Sturts collected three RBIs while Young, Mullins and Bowman had two apiece and Liberty Lewis had one. Sturts had two doubles while Mullins and Bowman had one apiece.

Bruskotter picked up the win in the circle allowing no runs on two hits with two strikeouts in five innings of work.

The Whippets improve to 1-0 and travel to Marion Harding on March 24.

Saturday, March 21

Plymouth 14, Mansfield Christian 10

The Plymouth Big Red outlasted Mansfield Christian in a high-scoring nonconference contest on Saturday.

Taylor Dean led the Big Red with four hits while Zarah Plank and Makayla Cunningham had three hits apiece, Kristi Yeager, Madison Montgomery, Presley Martin and Karsyn Steele-Adkins added two apiece and Makayla Bowman had one. Steele-Adkins, Yeager, Bowman and Martin had one double apiece and Cunningham and Dean had tripled. Bowman collected three RBIs while Yeager, Plank and Dean had two apiece and Cunningham, Martin and Steele-Adkins had one apiece.

Tori Zerby led the Flames with three hits while Bailee Nelson and Cassi Nelson had two apiece.

Plymouth improves to 1-0 and hosts Bucyrus on March 24 while Mansfield Christian falls to 0-1 and hosts Berne Union on the same day.

Clear Fork 7, Northwestern 2

The Clear Fork Colts picked up a solid 7-2 nonconference win over Northwestern on Saturday during the season opener.

Mya Perry and Presley Lilly led the Colts with two hits apiece while Jada Brokaw, Miley Shafer, Chloee Steward and Braylee Wenger added one apiece. Perry collected two RBIs while Ludwig, Lilly, Karlynn Mortimer and Millie Chamberlain had one apiece. Lilly had a double and Perry ad a triple in the win.

Shafer picked up the win in the circle working six inning allowing no runs on two hits with six strikeouts.

The Colts improve to 1-0 and travel to Galion on March 24.
