Staybridge Suites Ocala-near Equestrian-Aquatics, an IHG hotel, held its grand opening on March 20 with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by more than 100 people.
The hotel is located at 4627 NW Blitchton Road (U.S. 27). Greeting guests was Cedric Trueluck, the hotel CEO and general manager.
Officials said they broke ground in late August 2024 and opened in August 2025.
The hotel features 132 suite-style units, all with kitchens and living rooms. The hotel also has two meeting rooms.
Navroz Saju is the principal owner of the hotel, which has investors such as Doug Cone, owner of Cone Distributing.
“Ideally located just minutes from the World Equestrian Center and the Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training (FAST) facility, the property is strategically positioned to serve business travelers, medical visitors and leisure guests alike,” the hotel said in press materials. “The hotel also provides convenient access to major employers and medical facilities.”
HDG Legacy LLC, which will operate the hotel, says it is the first new, full-service hotel in northwest Marion County in more than 30 years (except for the two World Equestrian Center hotels.)
