Hundreds of thousands of voters flocked to the polls Tuesday to submit their ballots for the Illinois primary elections.
While some candidates slid into easy victories with zero opposition, others fought neck-and-neck against their competitors. Here’s a look at who the Associated Press declared winners.
Illinois governor’s race results
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker won the Democratic primary unopposed, while Darren Bailey won the Republican primary.
Illinois senator’s race results
Juliana Stratton won the the Democratic primary with just over 40% of the vote, and Don Tracy won the Republican primary.
Illinois secretary of state race results
Alexi Giannoulias ran unopposed for the Democratic Party, and Diane Harris won the Republican vote.
Illinois secretary general race results
Both Democrat Kwame Raoul and Republican Robert Fioretti won the primaries unopposed within their parties.
Illinois comptroller race results
State Rep. Margaret Croke held a lead of 25,487 votes over State Sen. Karina Villa, as of 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to The New York Times.
Bryan Drew won the Republican primary.
