VOTE: Times-Union High School Girls Athlete of the Week, March 16

Baldwin’s Tiana Gissentanner is the new Florida Times-Union Girls Athlete of the Week for Northeast Florida high school sports for the 2025-26 season, covering the week of March 2-7, 2026 in the Jacksonville area.

The sophomore batted .454 with two home runs and four RBI for Baldwin softball in wins over Clay, Middleburg and Paxon.

She placed first in a vote of top Northeast Florida performers that included Kailani Barrientos (Oakleaf wrestling), Angela Chen (Stanton tennis), Treasure Curry (Paxon flag football), Rylan Degrande (Menendez softball), Oja Riggs (Ridgeview track) and Mikayla Shavers (Fleming Island track).

This week’s Girls Athlete of the Week vote.

It’s time to vote for Florida Times-Union’s girls High School Athlete of the Week for the week of March 9-14, 2026.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com. Deadline to receive nominations is 7 p.m. Saturdays.

This week’s voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour. Vote at jacksonville.com/sports.

We reserve the right to disqualify a candidate or declare a vote “no contest” if tampering such as bots or offering to pay for voting is evident. Please respect the integrity of the vote the way these athletes respect the integrity of the game.

Camille Andrews, Creekside track

The junior cleared a personal-best 11 feet, 7 3/4 inches to win the pole vault at the Friday Knight Invite.

Shea Donovan, Bishop Kenny basketball

The freshman scored 25 points, nine assists and six steals against American Heritage and Bishop Moore, winning the Class 4A championship.

Rayna Lawson, Oakleaf track

The senior ran an 11.76 PR to win the 100 at the North Florida/South Florida Challenge.

Payton Morton, Middleburg flag football

The sophomore caught four passes for 82 yards and three touchdowns against Ridgeview.

Ryleigh Stone, Columbia softball

The freshman batted 1.000 with a home run, a double, two RBI and a pitching win as the Tigers topped Williston and Trenton.

Cali Taylor, Palatka softball

The junior hit .500 with two doubles and five runs scored in wins over Beachside and North Marion.

Danielle Wei, Nease tennis

The senior won at singles and doubles against P.K. Yonge.
