The MHSAA girls basketball playoffs started with districts Monday, March 2, with more than 130 games in the district quarterfinals.
The Michigan high school girls basketball regular season came to an end last week, and we released our final weekly MHSAA girls basketball rankings of 2025-26, including the “Super 10” − the state’s 10-best teams − plus the top 10 in each division. Howell, led by 2026 Michigan Miss Basketball finalist Lilly Williams (a Michigan State signee) edged Belleville for the No. 1 overall ranking.
We have MHSAA girls basketball districts final scores in the state tournament opening round, with 128 MHSAA girls basketball playoff districts – 32 for each of the four divisions.
There are between 4-6 teams in each district, which means many teams avoided the quarterfinals and will play in Wednesday’s district semifinals. District finals are Friday.
