FOND DU LAC – Fond du Lac police have arrested a 19‑year‑old local resident following an investigation into multiple residential entries and attempted break‑ins reported earlier this week.
Officers executed a search warrant around 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, in the 1600 block of Primrose Lane. The warrant stemmed from incidents reported during the early morning hours of Feb. 17, according to the Fond du Lac Police Department.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of multiple charges after the search and follow‑up interviews and is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail. The suspect’s name was not immediately released.
Authorities described the case as an immediate priority, deploying officers, detectives and supervisors to canvass neighborhoods, review evidence and follow investigative leads. Increased police presence was also maintained in affected areas, police said in a news release.
Lt. Nick Hahn said the department understands how incidents like these can impact residents’ sense of safety and credited community members for sharing information that helped move the investigation forward.
Chief Aaron Goldstein praised both officers and residents for working together, calling community‑police partnerships essential to public safety.
Police encourage residents to secure doors and windows, keep exterior lights on and report suspicious activity. Anyone with security or camera footage showing unusual overnight behavior is asked to contact police.
To report suspicious activity, call 920-906‑5555. In an emergency, dial 911.
