The owners behind a popular Rockland eatery are expanding their footprint from one Main Street to another with a new second location.
Mersina and Jorge Ocampo, owners of The Breakfast & Burger Club at 84 Main Street in Nyack, just signed the lease to the former The Place spot at 191 S. Main Street in New City.
Their goal? To open in the spring.
Because this space has more square footage, they’ll be adding new features including a coffee bar, an ice cream bar and an actual bar with fun cocktails. Mersina told The Journal News/lohud she’s excited about the fireplace in the center of the dining room as well as the large outdoor patio with an outdoor bar.
“The menu is going to be the same,” she said, but “the energy will be next level.”
Diners can expect all day breakfast — there are 13 different French toast versions, 20 pancake options, eight Belgian waffles, six savory waffles as well as a host of egg dishes — in addition to nine salads, 23 burgers and a wide range of paninis and sandwiches. The restaurant serves up so much goodness, it was named a “Best Thing I Ate” for their disco burger and pancakes in Nov. 2023.
The husband and wife-owned eatery celebrates its five-year anniversary in Nyack on Feb. 17.
