The Assembly Club, which was formed in 1931 in Lubbock as the Assembly Dance Club, honored 19 young men and women earlier this month in its annual introduction of students during a formal dinner and dance.
The honorees are the sons and daughters and sometimes grandchildren of the members of the Assembly Club.
They include the following:
Kristopher Michael Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Bailey, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bailey. He is a Senior at Lubbock Cooper High School. He plans to attend the University of Arlington or Texas Tech University,
Brody Preston Bourgeois, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Riddle Baker, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ronald Baker. He is a Senior at Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. He plans to attend the University of Oklahoma.
Meridith Renee Bradley, daughter of Drs. Jay and Rachael Bradley. She is a Senior at Lubbock High School. She plans to attend Vanderbilt University or the University of Virginia.
Nathanael Grantt Bumstead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew DeWitt Bumstead. He is a Senior at All Saints Episcopal High School. He is undecided on where he plans to attend college.
Harper Ann Burrell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Burrell. She is a Senior at All Saints Episcopal High School. She plans to attend Trinity University, Baylor University or the University of Texas.
Levi Miles Fisher, son of Reverend Jeff Fisher, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny M. Fisher. He is a Senior at Trinity Christian High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Grayson Kate Hollowell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Justin Compton, granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Owen. She is a Senior at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She plans to attend the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, College of Charleston or Florida Atlantic University.
William August McClendon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mont McClendon. He is a Senior at Lubbock High School. He plans to attend the University of Texas, Brown University or Davidson College.
Caleb Mckenzie Mead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Zane Mead. He is a Senior at Liberty Cooper High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Elizabeth Paige Nicholson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Brian Nicholson. She is a Senior at Kingdom Preparatory Academy. She plans to attend Auburn University.
Robert Pierce Schmid, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Schmid. He is a Senior at Coronado High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Samuel Luke Shropshire, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Shropshire. He is a Senior at Trinity Christian High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University, Abilene Christian University, or Oklahoma State University.
Kathleen Jane St. Clair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher St. Clair. She is a Senior at All Saints Episcopal High School. She plans to attend Baylor University or the University of Texas.
Graham Edward Stephens, son of Mr. Jon Stephens and Mrs. Michelle Stephens. He attends Frenship High School. He plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Crawford Marshall Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Taylor, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor. He is a Senior at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas. He plans to attend Georgetown University.
Lyla Elizabeth Thomasson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thomasson. She is a Senior at Frenship High School. She plans to attend Texas Tech University.
Tucker Jack Tranum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Murchison and Mr. Derek Tranum, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ansolabehere. He is a Senior at Midland Legacy High School. He plans to attend Abilene Christian University or Texas Tech University.
Adelaide Green Underwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brett Underwood. She is a Senior at All Saints Episcopal High School. She plans to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Ella Maria Webb, daughter of the Honorable and Mrs. Benjamin A. Webb. She is a Senior at Lubbock High School. She plans to attend Texas Tech University.
