Charlevoix County opens warming shelters as temperatures drop

With windchills dropping temperatures below -20 degrees, Charlevoix County Emergency Management has announced that area senior centers will be open as warming shelters with available meals on Friday, Jan. 23.

As of 1:30 p.m., the temperature in Charlevoix was 3 degrees, with a feel like temperature of -27 degrees.
