Yonkers School 5 closed for emergency repairs. What we know now

Yonkers’ School 5 is closed on Tuesday, Jan. 13, because of emergency boiler repairs, the school district said.

There is no school Tuesday for students and staff at that school, on Lockwood Avenue.

Details of what happened to the boiler or how long repairs might take were not provided in the district’s announcement on Facebook. The district said that it will give an update on Tuesday afternoon.
