It appears Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow won’t have to face a four-time Pro Bowler he once called the NFL’s best trash-talker.
The Miami Dolphins are releasing linebacker Matthew Judon, according to multiple reports, ahead of their NFL Week 16 game against the Bengals at Hard Rock Stadium.

Judon was in his first season with the Dolphins. He had 19 tackles in 13 games, with no sacks.
Earlier in his career, Judon had 34.5 sacks over five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, and 32 sacks over three seasons with the New England Patriots. He added 5.5 sacks in one season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024.
“Matt Judon – Patriots. Best trash-talker in the league,” Burrow told the Full Send Podcast in 2022. “I only played Baltimore one time my rookie year because I got hurt. He – I mean even if it’s not a play that he did anything – I mean, he’s talking. And I love that. Unfortunately, we stunk that year, so I couldn’t really say anything back.”
Judon was penalized for roughing Andy Dalton during a Ravens-Bengals game in 2018.
