Authorities said two deceased people were discovered at the address.

According to police, an investigation determined three brothers were staying at the hunting cabin when they got into a physical altercation. Troopers said one of the brothers called 911.

State police allege that during the fight, Scot Thompson, 65, fatally shot Mark B. Thompson, 70, of Canterbury, Connecticut; and David E. Thompson, 69 of Port Charlotte, Florida, with a rifle.

Police said Scot Thompson, a resident of Englewood, Florida, left the camp in David Thompson’s vehicle.

Some time later, personnel with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Geneseo Police Department located the vehicle and took Thompson into custody without incident, officials said.

Early on Nov. 24, Thompson was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of first-degree criminal use of a firearm. He was scheduled to appear in Allegany County central arraignment court.

An autopsy is scheduled for the victims at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

The New York State Police Forensic Identification Unit, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Allegany County District Attorney’s Office, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, Geneseo Police Department and the Allegany County Coroner assisted in this investigation.

Troopers said this an ongoing criminal investigation.
