New Rochester cannabis dispensary sells farm-grown, locally sourced weed

These days, Felix Harris might spend a morning packing buds of cannabis into small glass jars at his farm in Bloomfield ― then drive 40 minutes north to Rochester to open shop at his new dispensary on Division Street.

“We are a farm-to-table dispensary,” he said.

6 Point Cannabis is Rochester’s first microbusiness cannabis dispensary, meaning all of the products sold inside the shop are grown locally by a small team, including co-owners Craig Palmer and Ari Grossman, or hand-sourced from other farms. Other local dispensaries sell products purchased from other cultivators or distributors.

“We specialize in growing our own stuff, and then we sell it here,” Harris said. “It’s one-of-a-kind.”

Where is 6 Point Cannabis located in Rochester?

You may have already seen 6 Point products: For the last year, the business has been a popular vendor for legal cannabis dispensaries across the region. This month, Harris and his partners opened their first retail location at 56 Division St., near North Clinton Avenue and East Main Street.

Harris described the shop as “the small guys” in a blossoming industry. Business so far has been moderate. But he believes there are advantages to shopping small: Everyone who works with 6 Point is involved in every step of the process, from cultivating cannabis plants on their farm to packaging and selling the finished product in the city.

“The carbon footprint is much smaller,” Harris said. “It’s always fresh and we are really snooty potheads, so it’s always really good. We have a bar right here where you can smell everything, and people are blown away at our quality.”

When is 6 Point Cannabis open in Rochester?

6 Point Cannabis is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Harris is offering first-time customer deals and special bundles through the end of the year. You can follow them on Instagram at @6pointflowershop.
