The Texas high school football postseason is here, with many local West Texas and San Angelo-area teams still competing for a state championship.
Of the 23 total games in our coverage area from Week 11, we correctly predicted the winner of 19 games, yielding an accuracy rate of 82%, a bit lower than our season average.
This series will compare our picks to Dave Campbell Texas Football’s computer-generated selections for games in the San Angelo, Concho Valley and West Texas areas. Then, at the end of the season, we will compare our pick percentage head-to-head and see who was more accurate.
DCTF was more accurate than the Standard-Times last week, correctly picking local games at an 86% rate.
Heading into the postseason, the Standard-Times sits at 85% pick accuracy across 327 games, while DCTF stayed at 82% picking the same West Texas and San Angelo-area high school football games.
