The highly anticipated Trader Joe’s in Daytona Beach will open its doors Friday, Nov. 14, with a celebration and free samples, as well as an extra treat for some customers.
The specialty grocery store will be open daily, offering Mandarin Orange Chicken, fresh flowers and other items the chain is known for, in Tomoka Town Center.

It’s been a long road for many locals, including Trader Joe’s superfan Jasmin Bedria. The Ormond Beach resident launched an online petition about 13 years ago seeking a store, an initiative that gathered thousands of signatures.

Where is the new Daytona Beach Trader Joe’s?
Trader Joe’s is located at 1507 Cornerstone Blvd. in the Tomoka Town Center in Daytona Beach, near Interstate 95 Exit 265. The shopping center includes a HomeSense home furnishings store still under construction, and a Sports Academy sporting goods store, in addition to restaurants and sports bars like Dave & Buster’s.
How will Trader Joe’s in Daytona Beach celebrate opening day?
The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at about 8:55 a.m. Store Captain Dina Bombardo and other store “crew members” will be on site.
The store will offer free product samples for shoppers to try while inside and “a reusable bag giveaway for the first 100 customers,” according to Nakia Rohde, Trader Joe’s public relations manager.

“Through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Daytona Beach Trader Joe’s will donate 100% of products that go unsold but remain fit to enjoy to a range of nonprofit, community-based organizations, seven days a week,” according to a news release.
