Lower Hudson Valley residents are bracing for a high wind storm the evening of Nov. 5 into Thursday, along with possible scattered showers through Friday.
The majority of Wednesday is looking partly sunny with a high near 62 degrees, but starting at 6 p.m., high wind gusts between 20 and 30 mph are expected to affect Westchester and Rockland counties, according to a National Weather Service forecast. Wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.
Overnight Wednesday, a slight chance of showers is possible between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. until skies eventually become clear with a low of 43 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be sunny but chilly with a high of 52 degrees. Wind gusts could reach as high as 30 mph. Overnight, skies are looking clear with low temperatures around 33 degrees.
Possible frost on horizon for Lower Hudson Valley
Lower Hudson Valley residents could wake up to frost around their vehicles and homes Friday morning, but later skies will look partly sunny with a high near 57 degrees. Winds throughout the day could range from 10 to 20 mph.
Showers are likely overnight Friday into the early morning hours of Saturday between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. However, the majority of the evening is expected to be cloudy with a low temperature of 50 degrees.
