Will Lamar Jackson play when Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins meet on 'Thursday Night Football'

Will he or won’t he?

That is the biggest question heading into the “Thursday Night Football” game between the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

The player in question – Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury. It appeared the former Boynton Beach standout would play last Sunday against the Chicago Bears after Baltimore’s Friday injury report did not include him. But the Ravens listed him as “limited” on the report Saturday, with Baltimore coach John Harbaugh calling it an “honest mistake” that Jackson wasn’t on the Friday injury report. Jackson did not play in Baltimore’s victory and now the NFL has confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that it is reviewing the Ravens for violating the league’s policy on injury reports.

The Ravens probably will be reprimanded by the NFL so it’s unlikely they will play such games this week, although Harbaugh has been known to play fast and easy with injury reports in the past. Plus, Jackson still lives in South Florida and will have family and friends at the game so he wants to play against the Dolphins.

But … you never know even if Harbaugh said Monday he was “very confident” Jackson will return against Miami.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said the team will prepare to play both Jackson and former Dolphin Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, who started at QB and helped the Ravens beat the Bears. McDaniel added he expects Jackson to return.

The Ravens entered the season as a Super Bowl favorite, but are 2-5, losing two games with Cooper Hawk at quarterback before Huntley started last Sunday. Their upcoming schedule is favorable, starting with the Dolphins and followed by four other below .500 opponents. Having a healthy Jackson back at QB makes them a Super Bowl contender again.
