Vote for Dispatch Boys Athlete of the Week presented by Wexner Medical Center

Dispatch.com readers can vote for their favorite boys high school athletes of the week on their desktop, the Dispatch.com mobile web or Dispatch app once per hour by scrolling down to ballots listed below.

Deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

The girls Athlete of the Week poll will be published on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center high school Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes are on this week’s ballot based on information made available to The Dispatch and nominations.

Once athletes win during the regular season, they’re not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven’t won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once. 

The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week’s Boys Athlete of the Week candidates:

Cooper Ailes, Olentangy Berlin football: Had a sack and an interception in a 14-0 win over Olentangy.

Jhalil Armstrong, Westerville South football: Ran for 144 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries in a 21-9 win over Worthington Kilbourne 21-19.

Nolan Buirley, Big Walnut football: Ran for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries in a 56-0 win over Westland.

Levi Davis, Olentangy Orange football: Completed 14 of 21 passes for 216 yards and a touchdown and ran for 95 yards and two scores on 21 carries in a 26-14 win over Olentangy Liberty.

Camdyn Dover, Grandview Heights football: Had three interceptions for 57 return yards, two pass breakups, two tackles and one reception for 8 yards I a 56-0 win over Mifflin.

Jayce Golden, Northridge football: Ran for 216 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries in a 31-6 win over Lakewood.

JJ Henry, Marysville football: Ran for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries in a 35-14 win over Hilliard Darby.

Kyle Kirby, Granville football: Ran for 300 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries and ahd three solo tackles and 10 assists in a 35-13 win over Mount Vernon.

Miles Marshall, Centerburg football: Ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in a 34-0 win over Fredericktown.

Ryan Miller, Pickerington North football: Returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown in a 35-0 win over Gahanna Lincoln.

 Hudson Phalin, Circleville football: Ran for 125 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries and completed 7 of 9 passes for 130 yards and a score in a 26-7 win over Bloom-Carroll.

Ryan Sager, Johnstown football: Ran for 207 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-7 win over Newark Catholic.

Brayden Scholl, Dublin Coffman football:  Had 14 carries for 110 yards, two receptions for 20 yards, one completion for 9 yards, three kickoff returns for 62 yards and one tackle. He had 201 all-purpose yards, his third straight week with more than 150 yards. It was the 10th straight week he played three or more positions.

J.J. Shackleford, Licking Heights football: Threw for two touchdowns and ran for two in a 30-14 victory over Zanesville.

Braxton Vance, West Jefferson football: Caught nine passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 36 yards and two scores on five carries in a 49-6 win over Fairbanks.
