In the land of Culver’s and George Webb, Wisconsinites still crave a burger they can’t their hands on: In-N-Out.
A survey by MarketBeat, a financial media company, found that the West Coast burger chain is the most-wanted brand Wisconsinites wish their state had. The survey involved more than 3,000 respondents across the country, asking surveyors to answer for their home state — 214 surveyors responded for Wisconsin, according to MarketBeat.
In-N-Out Burger is based in California, with more than 400 locations across the western United states. It has no locations east of Texas, though three locations are opening in Tennessee.
In addition to Wisconsin, other states that ranked In-N-Out Burger as the most-sought-after brand were Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and New Hampshire, according to the survey results.
In Wisconsin, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a Texas-based movie theater chain with waiter service and strict movie-etiquette policies, came in second. H-E-B, a Texas-based grocery store, was third.
But the grass is always greener on the other side; California and Oregon ranked Culver’s as the brand they most wished their states had.
