Masked people at the Milwaukee Area Technical College’s downtown campus prompted a short lockdown on Oct. 23.
The masked people arrived on campus around 1:47 p.m. and caused the lockdown, said a Milwaukee Police Department spokesperson in an email. About an hour later, the college sent out a note that the lockdown had ended and there was no threat on campus, according to Darryl Fortune, a spokesperson for the college.
The police determined the people had left campus and said they continue to seek those who prompted the lockdown. A police spokesperson said there was no evidence at this time of firearms being invovled in the incident.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7212 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 414-224-Tips or use the app P3 Tips.
