Amazon delivery center in Conklin plans to hire 100 new seasonal employees

Amazon has announced plans to hire 100 people at its delivery station in Conklin.

The company announced Oct. 16 it is actively recruiting for seasonal positions at its last-mile delivery station as part of a broader initiative to hire 250,000 seasonal workers across the country, including 8,500 employees in New York.

The company also announced a plan to invest over $1 billion to enhance compensation for hourly fulfillment and transportation employees across the country for the holiday season.

The position, according to the press release, offers flexible scheduling options, an average wage of more than $19 per hour and the opportunity to earn extra income during the holiday season.

Additional benefits include health care plans starting at $5 per week with $5 doctor copays, up to 35% pay increase for employees with over three years of work within the company and compensation that is now averaging more than $30 per hour including elected benefits.

Weekly job postings for open positions at the Conklin location will be available through December on the Amazon Jobs website.
