Battle of the Bands: Who has the best high school marching band in the Big Country?

As the 2025 Texas high school football season heats up throughout the Big Country and West Texas, it’s time to focus on and recognize a key component of any Friday night football experience: the marching band.

Bands pump up teams by injecting energy and excitement during critical moments of the game and also create invaluable home field advantages by firing up the crowd and making it too loud to properly communicate on the field.

The competition frequently bleeds into the bleachers too under the Friday night lights, when bands go back and forth competing to be the loudest and proudest supporters in the crowd.

We want to hear from you! Please let us know who has the Big Country’s best marching band and vote for your pick below.

Voting will be open for two weeks and end at Noon on Wednesday, Oct. 29, and the winner will be announced that afternoon.
