Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said tight end Mike Gesicki will be out when his team hosts the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 16 at Paycor Stadium. “He’s got a pec (injury),” Taylor said. “So, he’ll be out for a while.”
Gesicki suffered the pectoral injury during the second quarter of the Bengals’ loss to the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 12.
Taylor didn’t have definitive updates on defensive ends Trey Hendrickson or Shemar Stewart as to their availability against the Steelers. Hendrickson will be a day-to-day evaluation, Taylor said. “Shemar is progressing back,” Taylor said. “I’m optimistic about it.”
He did say he expects offensive tackle Amarius Mims to be available. “Amarius should be good to go,” Taylor said.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 and the game will be broadcast on Prime Video.
The Bengals (2-4) are coming off a loss to the Green Bay Packers and the Steelers (4-1) are coming off a win over the Cleveland Browns.
The Steelers are 5.5-point favorites and the over/under point total is 42.5, according to BetMGM.
