Sean McVay provides update on pair of injured Rams heading into Week 6

The Los Angeles Rams may have lost more than just the game on Thursday against the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium, as a few players came out of the contest with some injuries.

On Monday, Sean McVay spoke to the media and provided some updates on linebacker Omar Speights and tight end Colby Parkinson.

According to McVay, Parkinson is in the league’s concussion protocol, but he’s making good progress, and he’s expected to be available for the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

The 26-year-old has caught four passes for 11 yards so far this season, and if he can’t go, Los Angeles may have to roll with just Davis Allen and second-round pick Terrance Ferguson, as Tyler Higbee’s been dealing with an injury as well.

McVay also shared that Speights has a high ankle sprain and will be doubtful for this week. The 24-year-old has recorded 24 tackles in five games this year while playing 64% of their defensive snaps. The Rams will need to turn to Troy Reeder or rookies Josaiah Stewart or Shaun Dolac to fill in against Baltimore.
