Bucs' Greg Gaines doubtful to return against the Philadelphia Eagles

Buccaneers defensive tackle Greg Gaines is doubtful to return to Tampa Bay’s Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles with a pectoral injury. Gaines has one tackle through three quarters. The Bucs are now down to five defensive linemen.

Gaines has been the starter at defensive tackle next to Vita Vea since Calijah Kancey was put on injured reserve with a pectoral injury of his own. The Bucs will now have to lean more on their defensive line rotation, including C.J. Brewer and Elijah Simmons.

Fortunately for the Bucs, Vita Vea has been a wrecking ball against the Eagles’ offense, recording two sacks and limiting the Philadelphia run game.
