According to her obituary, funeral services will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home and Crematory in Pekin, with Pastor Brock Winkler of The Journey Church – Charlotte’s parish in East Peoria – presiding over the ceremonies. Visitation is set for Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charlotte Bumbalough was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office, with Candace Bumbalough and the other juvenile hospitalized with serious injuries. Candace Bumbalough was pronounced dead Sept. 14 at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center by Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood.

A GoFundMe page was set up shortly after Charlotte’s death to raise money for the family, with $36,970 raised as of Friday afternoon.

Charlotte’s obituary said that she was a “radiant light,” with a “vibrant spirit and infectious joy.” She enjoyed photography, target shooting, picking wildflowers and spending time with family and friends. She was also a member of the freshman soccer team at Pekin Community High School.

She is survived by her parents, as well as six siblings, a host of other relatives and her dog, Banks, a Golden Doodle.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to TAPS, the no-kill animal shelter in Pekin, a cause her obituary says was close to Charlotte’s heart.
