PEORIA – MD’s Sports Bar & Grill will soon be open seven days a week. The establishment plans to open at 3 p.m. on Mondays starting Sept. 22 – with the kitchen opening at 4 p.m.
Customers were “pretty much begging us to open (on Mondays),” according to owner MaryBeth Milburn. The day off offered an opportunity to get work done around the restaurant. Yet, Milburn said they realized they could complete projects in the morning and open in the afternoon.
“We’re proud to do it and happy to be there,” Milburn said.
The storefront will typically operate until 11 p.m. on Mondays, but Milburn said it would stay open later for football games as needed.
Happy hour will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays and will include $2 domestic bottles and $6 appetizers.
Various Monday specials will also be available at MD’s. Milburn said customers will find a burger basket with chips or fries for $13, as well as $4 seltzers and $12 buckets.
The kitchen closes at 10 p.m. daily, according to Milburn.
