Did the “Love Island USA” season seven islanders “stand on business” during the reunion? Or did they fizzle under Peacock’s spotlight?
Last night’s reunion featured several fan-favorite and controversial contestants from season seven, which premiered in June.
The reunion was hosted by Florida native and fan-favorite “Love Island USA” host Ariana Madix and seasoned reality TV reunion host Andy Cohen. They had the cast speak on their time in the villa (including the infamous “Heartbeat Challenge”) and gave them the opportunity to clear up some rumors that have surfaced since leaving.

As for who did not attend, Miami’s Yulissa Escobar did not attend the reunion, nor did Cierra Ortega. Both islanders were kicked off the show during filming, allegedly due to past racist remarks.

When was the ‘Love Island USA’ reunion filmed?
According to USA TODAY, the reunion was filmed in New York City around two weeks before the episode dropped on Aug. 25. The cast was photographed at the studio on Aug. 12.
Who won ‘Love Island USA’ Season 7? Are Amaya and Bryan still together?
Amaya Espinal from New York and Bryan Arenales from Boston were crowned as America’s favorite couple in the season finale of “Love Island USA” season seven.
During the reunion, the pair confirmed they were still together. They addressed an alleged cheating incident in which Bryan was filmed partying with other women, an event at which he said he was paid to appear, and they had already talked about it.
“I’m not a woman that would be with someone that doesn’t respect me, so if I’m with him and still with him, it’s clearly because the relationship dynamic is healthy and great,” Amaya said.
However, internet sleuths noted that there might be trouble in paradise after filming the reunion, noticing the two seemingly unfollowed each other on Instagram on Aug. 25.
Are Nic and Olandria still together?
Good news, “Nicolandria” is still going strong.
During the reunion, the pair said they haven’t labeled things as of yet, but they’re enjoying each other’s company.
“We’ve always been believers in taking our time with things and not letting outside pressure dictate our relationship,” Nic said.
As for the Floridian’s former connection with Cierra, Nic said he has not talked to her since leaving the villa, nor does he want to. He said she posted some things on social media that rubbed him the wrong way.
Are Chelley and Ace still together?
Chelley and Ace Greene are still together, saying they are still exclusive. Ace said he has something planned for when they eventually become official. He also said he’s in love with the Florida native.
They also addressed their elimination from the show shortly after becoming exclusive. Ace said viewers focused on the favorites rather than the actual premise of the show.
“I think they missed the plot on what ‘Love Island’ is supposed to be about,” Chelley Bissainthe said.
Many vocal viewers on social media pointed out the irony in this, as an unseen clip from the show was played, in which Chelley, Huda Mustafa, Cierra and Olandria Carthen decided to eliminate Hannah Fields for “not exploring” more connections in the villa outside of the men she paired up with.
Who is Huda from ‘Love Island’ dating?
Many fans were focused on Huda during the reunion for a variety of reasons. She and Chris Seeley ended on awkward, bad terms the last time fans saw them in the finale. And although it seems they somewhat “squashed the beef,” there was still a lot of tension between them. They sat separated by the winning couple, Amaya and Bryan.
Chris expressed that although he forgives Huda for their miscommunication and relationship issues in the villa, he has no interest in being friends with her after “the way she moved” when speaking to the press about their relationship in the month following the show.
Cohen asked Huda about her current dating life, and she said she couldn’t speak on it because Netflix wouldn’t allow her to.
“Tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer,” Cohen replied with a laugh.
But for those who have been keeping up with the islanders’ lives after the villa, it was no mystery. In the month following the “Love Island USA” finale, Huda has been seen with Louis Russell. The pair were holding hands in LA , on the “Weapons” premiere carpet together in July and have subtly hinted at their relationship on their social media platforms.
If you don’t know, Louis is also from the reality TV world. He was on Netflix’s “Too Hot to Handle,” and most recently was on Netflix’s “Perfect Match” season three.

Is ‘Love Island USA’ season 8 confirmed?
According to USA TODAY, Peacock has not yet made an official announcement on whether “Love Island USA” will be returning for season eight.
However, casting for the hit reality TV show is currently open, with the show accepting applications for contestants for season eight. Like previous seasons, season eight is expected to air in summer 2026.
Is Floridian Ariana Madix hosting the next season of ‘Love Island USA’?
Yes! The “Vanderpump Rules” personality Ariana Madix has publicly said she will continue to be the host of the hit reality dating competition.
Madix, a Melbourne, Florida, native, has been the host of the reality show since season six in 2024. She also made a guest appearance on “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” and is set to host “Love Island Games” later this fall.
