A 62-year-old man from Madisonville, Kentucky, was going north on the parkway in a 2014 Toyota Prius when he hit Bowling, police said. She was pronounced dead by the Christian County (Kentucky) Coroner’s Office.

Bowling and her husband, Danny, an occupant in the Equinox, were returning to Ohio after visiting a relative in nearby Hopkinsville, Kentucky, when the crash occurred, according to Mark Claxton, the county’s chief deputy coroner.

Danny Bowling was taken to a nearby hospital for a minor injury. A third vehicle occupant, a female, was not injured.

The 62-year-old Kentucky driver was treated at the scene for a minor injury, Claxton said.

The Kentucky State Police continues its investigating into the crash.
