A Lubbock-based company is expanding its reach across international lines, according to a company news release.
SIMFLO, the Lubbock-based provider of pumps for industrial, municipal, commercial and agricultural uses, announced its reach is expanding on Tuesday. The company named Leo Villanueva as Sales Manager for Latin America, Mining, and Oil & Gas.
“As Sales Manager for Latin America, Mining, and Oil & Gas, my role is to forge meaningful partnerships that align with the unique needs of customers and industries across the region,” Villanueva said. “I’m proud to represent SIMFLO in delivering innovative products and tackling technical challenges together with our international clients, and excited to take the lead on SIMFLO’s business growth throughout Latin America.”
In this role, Villanueva will identify potential markets and build partnerships across the mining, municipal and agricultural industries. Villanueva will lead SIMFLO’s expansion into the region, including Chile, Argentina and Peru, according to the release.
SIMFLO targeted the Latin American region for expansion due to expected growth in the area’s pumps market, which is spurred on by a growing need for infrastructure development and energy efficiency. The region also puts out 6.49 million barrels of crude oil consumption per day, according to the release.
“As part of our long-term commitment to providing reliable, high-performance pump solutions globally, we are focusing on Central and South America as vital growth markets,” said Troy Pickering, SIMFLO’s chief executive officer. “Leo’s appointment is a key component of our strategy to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions to meet the evolving needs of customers in these regions while ensuring we remain responsive to their specific challenges.”
