Four-star Duyon Forkpa is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the country. For Florida State, they’d like to add another player at the position to go with three-star prospects Karon Maycock and Noah LaVallee, and they’re one of the top choices that Forkpa is deciding between.
Forkpa had set his commitment date for July 12. However, with such a huge decision to make, players need more time to decide in certain cases. That’s true when it comes to Forkpa, as he will not commit on Saturday anymore. Instead, it will happen during the season.
“I just have to figure out the best fit for me,” Forkpa told Rivals. “Michigan, Florida and Florida State are all in now. I am not sure when I will make a decision now. I will probably go to games first and make a decision during the season.
“I’ve been talking to all three, all three have stuff I like and I have to take more time.”
FSU has seen Forkpa quite a bit in 2025. He’s been on campus three times, with the last coming on June 6. Now, they’ll need to set up a trip in-season with Forkpa if they want him to commit.
The Seminoles could get an elite linebacker on Saturday when four-star Rodney Colton Jr. makes his choice. Regardless, the pursuit of Forkpa shouldn’t stop in the slightest.
