Florida’s report card is in.
According to the Florida Department of Education, the state’s 2024-2025 school grades indicate that 28 of Florida’s 67 districts are A-rated, 31 are B-rated, and eight are C-rated — none were D- or F-rated.
“Florida schools are improving across the board, and this is a direct result of the governor’s innovative policies and his mandate to school board members and superintendents across the state to bring education back to the basics and focus on student success,” incoming Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas said during a news conference in Jacksonville on Monday.
How are Florida’s school district grades determined?
The Florida Department of Education calculates school and district grades based on multiple factors, including math, science, reading, and social studies assessment scores, as well as student achievement, learning gains and graduation rates.

North Florida’s Nassau and St. Johns Counties tied for the top school district in the state, with a 74% rating.
