After two rounds of voting, Sonora football’s Aaron Segura was voted as the 2024-25 City National Bank Fan Favorite Athlete of the Year.
The first round of voting had the 32 City National Bank Athlete of the Week winners competing for a spot in the top 16 in the second round of voting. After the first round of voting, Segura finished sixth and the voting totals were reset for the second round. Across the two rounds of voting, Segura garnered 40,865 votes, 28.80% of the 141,866 votes cast.
Segura was nominated for City National Bank Athlete of the Week in early September after he completed 19 of 30 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Alpine. He won the award after earning 41,500 votes.
