The clock is ticking for some “Love Island USA” season seven contestants.
On Monday night’s episode, the men were blindfolded for a kissing challenge, in which they’d have to rank kisses from all the women while trying to guess who was kissing them. But as soon as they put on their blindfolds and noise-cancelling headphones, Floridian host Ariana Madix came out to sneak the women away and replace them with an entirely new cast of ladies.
Yes, “Casa Amor” has begun for the season seven islanders, but there’s a twist this summer. In past seasons, Casa Amor is a way for islanders to see if their partner will “cheat” on them and test how strong their connections are. But this summer, all of the islanders were forced to recouple. Ariana told the contestants that the islanders who were not chosen to couple up in the Villa and Casa Amor have 24 hours to find new connections or go home. After the Casa Amor recoupling, two cast members — Amaya and TJ — were left single and vulnerable.

One of the newest bombshells, TJ Palma, also has a Florida connection. According to Screen Rant, Palma, 23, played baseball for the University of Tampa as an outfielder. Neither Amaya Espinal nor TJ Palma was chosen by the new bombshells, so they are given 24 hours to make a connection or they will be dumped from the villa.
What is Casa Amor on ‘Love Island’?
A part of the show that has existed since season three of the OG Love Island, Casa Amor is another villa to which some islanders are sent halfway through the season. This second villa exists to test the islanders’ loyalty to their partners.
“It involves separating the couples and sending the girls or boys to Casa Amor whilst their partners remain in the main villa. Two batches of 5-6 new islanders then enter either villa,” according to Love Island Wiki.
This usually lasts three to four episodes, with a special recoupling ceremony afterwards. The islanders have two options: to stay with their original partner or to match with one of the new islanders.
But this year will look a little different.
Madix revealed they are starting fresh and had the islanders form new couples. Instead of choosing at the end who they will couple up with in the main villa, all 11 couples will return to the main villa. Original islanders will get the chance to see who their previous partner is now coupled up with.

Throughout the season, America’s voting will influence which Islanders couple up, who remains in the villa, and who goes home single or heartbroken.

Each season’s winner is the couple that gets the most viewer votes as the favorite couple in the villa.
During the finale, the winning couple with the most votes gets envelopes. One envelope has prize money, and the other is empty. The person who receives the prize money can choose to keep it for themselves or split it with their partner.
