Michigan State football is closing out the month June, looking to fill in the final spots of the 2026 recruiting class, in what has been a very successful month of June.
In the month, the Spartans have already landed the commitment of their top wide receiver prospect, Zachary Washington, and a second wide receiver could be something that the Spartans are looking to acquire. The three wide receivers in contention for that final spot, that visited East Lansing, include Samson Gash, Tyren Wortham and Rai’Shawn Elmore.
While Gash and Wortham are still firmly in the Spartans vision and pursuit, it appears that Elmore has been removed, and he has subsequently made his commitment elsewhere. MSU will continue their pursuit of the other two receivers following this news.
Elmore will be heading to East Carolina, committing to the Pirates, following an official visit this past weekend.
A 3-star wide receiver from Indian Trail, North Carolina, Elmore is a 6-foot-2, 185 pounder that plays at Porter Ridge High School.
