Sayre man who admitted to raping 17 women will spend the rest of his life in prison

A Sayre man who admitted to drugging and raping 17 women over a period of years will spend the rest of his life in prison following his sentencing June 19.

Bradford County Judge Evan Williams III sentenced Sean Robert Hall, 45, to a minimum of 98 years and eight months in state prison and a maximum of 206 years following his guilty plea earlier this year to 21 sex crime- and drug-related felonies.

Hall was originally charged with more than 500 sex crimes in November 2024 after a months-long investigation into numerous drug and sexual assault allegations conducted by the Bradford County Drug Task Force.

The investigation was initiated in April 2024 after Hall was initially charged in connection with a methamphetamine manufacturing operation out of his home on Linden Street in Sayre.

The task force investigation began with search warrants served on garbage discarded from Hall’s home, which showed evidence of precursors for the manufacture of methamphetamine. They also found more than they expected.

“Our detectives were shocked, however, when subsequent search warrants for Hall’s phone and other electronic devices revealed hundreds of hours of videos depicting Hall sexually assaulting numerous women,” said Bradford County District Attorney Richard Wilson.

Many of the assaults took place in Hall’s home, where he lived with his young daughter, Wilson said. Some of the assaults involved women being restrained, while others involved threats of violence and extortion, or threats with a knife.

Eight of the victims were depicted in an unconscious state, and Hall admitted that he drugged them without their knowledge or consent.

In March, Hall pleaded guilty to four counts of operating a methamphetamine lab, six counts of raping a substantially impaired person after administering drugs without the victim’s knowledge, six counts of rape by forcible compulsion, one count of rape of an unconscious person, three counts of criminal attempted rape by forcible compulsion, and one count of criminal attempted rape of an unconscious person.

“On behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the County of Bradford, I can say that I am happy with the outcome because it means that Sean Hall will spend the rest of his natural life in prison,” Wilson said. “Under no circumstances will he be eligible for parole during his lifetime.”

As part of the investigation, detectives also charged Ashley Hamm, 36, of Pine City, with multiple felony rape charges, alleging she conspired with Hall to rape an unconscious pregnant woman in January 2024.

Hamm eventually pleaded guilty to involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and possession with intent to deliver and manufacture (illegal drugs), both felonies. She is scheduled to be sentenced June 30.
