One thing is for certain, Florida State is making waves in recruiting. However, the latest news could potentially be some of the biggest as of late. Four-star wide receiver Devin Carter, who is currently committed to the Auburn Tigers, has been projected to flip his commitment to FSU per Zach Blostein of Noles247.
This echoes the thoughts of Tom Loy of 247Sports. When Carter came to Tallahassee for his official visit earlier this month, Loy mentioned there were some rumblings about Carter flipping to Florida State.
“This weekend, he heads to Tallahassee, Florida, for an official visit to Florida State. There is a lot of buzz and chatter regarding a potential flip to the Seminoles, according to sources. There isn’t a ton of optimism on the Plains right now that he’ll stick with Auburn.”
Carter is the No. 120 recruit nationally and the No. 17 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also listed as the No. 15 prospect in Georgia.
FSU landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Brandon Bennett last week. Adding a flip of Carter would be huge for their 2026 class, and it would give the cycle four receivers total with four-star prospects Darryon Williams and Efrem White committed.
