Davante Adams has found a new level of energy and excitement in his football career now that he’s a member of the Los Angeles Rams. He’s had nothing but great things to say about his new team, from Sean McVay’s impressive recruiting pitch to the overall class of the entire organization.
He reportedly feels like he’s “living in luxury,” according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, which is a testament to how comfortable he is compared to his previous stops with the Jets and Raiders.
One thing that Adams said this offseason really hit home with McVay, though. He said he feels “rejuvenated” as a member of the Rams, which McVay says “means the world” to him.
“For Davante to say that, that means the world to me because of the respect and admiration I have for him as a person, as a player,” McVay told J.B. Long at minicamp. “Really glad he’s in our locker room. He’s made a tremendous impact already. I think he feels appreciated and I know the guys feel appreciated by the way he moves and the way he’s pouring into guys and just being a great teammate himself.”
McVay said Adams has been “a real bright spot” already in the offseason program and he’s expected to keep getting better as he gains more familiarity with the offense. The sky is the limit for the Rams offense if everyone can stay healthy, Adams included.
It’s hard to tell who’s more excited about this new partnership: McVay and the Rams or Adams himself. Right now, it seems like a match made in heaven.
