What is Trump Mobile? What to know about the Trump Organization's new business venture

The Trump family has launched a new mobile service in the United States, along with a smartphone that will cost just under $500.

The Trump Organization, the holding company for President Donald Trump’s business ventures, announced the launch of “Trump Mobile” on Monday, June 16. The service will include call centers based in the United States and phones made in America, reported Reuters.

“We are going to be introducing an entire package of products where people can come and they can get telemedicine on their phones for one flat monthly fee, roadside assistance on their cars, unlimited texting to 100 countries around the world,” said the president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., announcing the product at Trump Tower in New York.

Along with the announcement, a new website was launched.

The “47 Plan” will include unlimited talk, texting, data and nationwide coverage on U.S. networks, in addition to device protection. The cost of the plan is $47.45 a month, according to its website.

Trump Mobile will also offer a gold “T1” phone for $499, which will be available in September, according to Reuters.
