You choose: Vote for the 2024-25 Eagle-Gazette High School Team of the Year

LANCASTER — The 2024-25 high school season is officially over for the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette coverage area, but there were several outstanding team performances over the last school year.

It’s now time to determine which team you think deserves to be the Eagle-Gazette Team of the Year.

Six teams are nominated.

Fans are encouraged to vote in the Eagle-Gazette Softball Team of the Year Poll to determine who they think is the area’s No. 1 team this season. Fans can vote as often as allowed.

The poll will run from 6 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday. The winner will be revealed soon after the survey concludes.

Here is the list of teams and what they accomplished:

Fairfield Union girls basketball: Went 28-1 and reached the Final Four

Bloom-Carroll football: Won their seventh straight MSL-Buckeye Division championship

Lancaster softball: Reached the state Final Four for the first time in school history

The Lancaster girls’ cross country: Won the Division I team state championship

Fairfield Union boys cross country: Won the Division II team state championship

Liberty Union softball: Was the Division V state runner-up after winning D-III title last season
