A 70-year-old city resident has died following a suspected hit-and-run early Friday morning, according to the Rochester Police Department.
Around 2:15 a.m. on June 14, officers responded to the area of South Union Street and Canfield Place for a report of an unresponsive man. Preliminary investigation suggests the man may have been struck by a vehicle that left the scene, police said.
He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR, where he later died from his injuries.
RPD’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 911.
