The 2025 version of the Texas Tech softball team set numerous statistical records and had the best total season in program history. Now the Red Raiders will try to add a few more pieces through the transfer portal to finish the job in 2026.
In Gerry Glasco’s first year as head coach and led by NiJaree Canady, the Red Raiders captured the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles, hosted a regional, claimed regional and super regional titles and made it to the Women’s College World Series — all for the first time.
Texas Tech wasn’t done just yet, getting to the WCWS championship series and forcing a winner-take-all Game 3 against Texas before falling short of the national championship.
The Red Raiders built the 2025 team mostly through the transfer portal and have already begun rounding out the 2026 roster in the same way.

Texas Tech softball transfer portal additions
These players have personally announced commitments to Texas Tech. Academic years reflect 2025-26 school year.
Lagi Quiroga, 5-foot-8, junior, catcher/utility (Cal)
Quiroga adds more depth for Tech to play with after earning all-ACC honors as a sophomore in 2025. She totaled 12 home runs, 44 RBI and 13 doubles while leading the Golden Bears with 47 runs and 62 hits. Quiroga has two years of eligibility remaining and her signing has been officially announced.
Desirae Spearman, 5-foot-8, junior, pitcher/outfielder (New Mexico State)
Spearman was the Conference USA freshman and player of the year in 2024 and earned first team all-conference honors as a sophomore in 2025. A native of El Paso, Spearman hit .430 with 20 home runs and 47 RBI last season. She has two years of eligibility remaining. Texas Tech has officially announced Spearman’s signing.
Taylor Pannell, 5-foot-8, junior, third baseman (Tennessee)
Pannell was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association second-team all-America honoree. She was the top hitter on a Tennessee team that finished 47-17, making the Women’s College World Series semifinals. Pannell hit 16 home runs and led the Lady Vols in batting average (.398), hits (74), doubles (13), runs (56), runs batted in (65), on-base percentage (.493) and slugging percentage (.747). Texas Tech has officially announced Pannell’s signing.
Kaitlyn Terry, 5-foot-6, junior, left-handed pitcher/right fielder (UCLA)
Terry is a two-time 20-game winner in her first two seasons. She went 21-3 with a 2.38 earned-run average in 2024, earning Pac-12 freshman of the year recognition and first-team all-conference. She was 20-5 with a 2.64 ERA this season when the Bruins went 55-13, making the Women’s College World Series. She also started 36 games at other positions, 33 in right field, batting .257 with 2 home runs and 24 RBIs. Terry has been announced as an official signing.
Jackie Lis, 5-foot-8, senior, shortstop (Southern Illinois)
Lis was a three-time first-team all-Missouri Valley Conference honoree and set the school record with 44 career home runs. She batted .356 with 17 homers and 57 RBIs as a freshman, hit .344 with 16 homers and 36 RBIs as a sophomore and batted .358 with 11 homers and 48 RBIs as a junior this season. Her teams went 36-20, 44-11 and 33-20 this season. She’s a granddaughter of the late Joe Lis, a Major League Baseball first baseman and outfielder from 1970-77. Lis has been announced as an official signing.
Mia Williams, 5-foot-6, junior, second baseman (Florida)
Williams was named a second-team all-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association this season after batting .335 with 19 home runs and 44 RBIs. Florida made the Women’s College World Series and finished 48-17. She’s a daughter of 12-year NBA point guard Jason Williams. Williams has been announced as an official signing.
Jasmyn Burns, 5-foot-3, junior, catcher (Ohio State)
Burns was named a first team All-American by the NFCA and a second-team selection by Softball America after batting .455 with 25 home runs (tied for fifth in the country) with 72 RBIs (14th) and 1.006 slugging percentage (5th). Also going by Jazzy, Burns has two years of eligibility remaining. She committed to Texas Tech on June 7. Burns has been announced as an official signing.
Texas Tech softball transfer portal departures
These players’ intentions to transfer have either been announced by the players themselves or reported by reputable outlets such as D1Softball.com. Classifications reflect 2025-26 school year.
Bailey Lindemuth, 5-foot-3, sophomore, infielder
Lindemuth announced her portal entry on June 15. She garnered first team all-Big 12 accolades this season starting all 68 games at third base as a freshman. Lindemuth hit for a .305 average with five home runs and 32 RBI.
Anya German, 6-foot, sophomore, catcher
German played in 30 games, including 16 starts. The Austin Bowie graduate hit .288 with no home runs and 14 RBI.
Brenlee Gonzales, 5-foot-3, sophomore, left-handed pitcher
Gonzales went 2-0 with a 2.84 earned-run average in 12 appearances, including one start. The Aledo product struck out 12 over 12 1/3 innings.
Raegan Jennings, 5-foot-7, junior, infielder
Jennings played in 49 games, starting 23. The Atascocita product batted .398 with no home runs and 19 runs batted in.
Kiley Huffman, 5-foot-6, sophomore, outfielder
Huffman played in 34 games, starting nine. The Alvin graduate batted .200 with no homers and 8 RBI.
Sydney Shiller, 5-foot-8, sophomore, outfielder
Shiller got into 23 games as a pinch runner and had 3 stolen bases. The Jourdanton product didn’t have an at-bat.
