'Suspicious death' under investigation in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE − Fort Pierce Police reported investigating a “suspicious death” June 5 on Serenity Circle, an agency spokesperson stated June 6.

Police about 5:20 p.m. June 5 went to the 2800 block of Serenity Circle “to investigate a suspicious death,” police spokesperson Juliana Walker stated via text.

The location is west of South 25th Street and generally between West Midway Road and the Fort Pierce Central High School area.

“Due to the condition of the deceased, we have not yet determined the manner of death nor the identity,” Walker stated.

Police went to the scene following a 911 call from a representative of the homeowner.

“When officers arrived on scene, their initial investigation produced a deceased, adult male inside the residence,” Walker stated via text.

She stated detectives determined “there are no signs of trauma in regard to the nature of his death.”

Walker could provide no further information.
