MANITOWOC – May 17, Manitowoc Public School District staff, students and community members will walk the Rubick Field track to help raise awareness of mental health and wellness.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the field at 2200 Grand Ave. will host a Mental Health & Wellness Awareness Walk & Resource Fair. The event is free and open to the public.
Community organizations will be on hand to provide resources. Raffle baskets will also be included and those in attendance will earn free raffle tickets and have a chance to purchase extra.
Lime green T-shirts, $12 each, are available to purchase to wear during the walk. People interested in buying T-shirts can do so at the district’s Central Office (2902 Lindbergh Drive) Thursday or Friday, during the walk Saturday, or by contacting Lynette Simonar at 920-686-4737 or simonarl@mpsd.school.
Proceeds from T-shirt sales will support the MPSD Caring Closet and Weekend Food Backpack partnerships with the Grow It Forward Community Food Center.
