Mitchell was extradited to Binghamton following a multiple-day search that ended with his arrest in Daytona Beach, Florida after he had fled the state following the deaths of Daniel McCloe, 58, and Marshall VanOven, 55, on Feb. 3 at 11 Westwood Ct. in Binghamton.

Mitchell was taken into custody by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 12 and later extradited on March 19.

He was initially wanted for questioning after both McCloe’s and VanOven’s bodies were found inside a Binghamton home two days after being reported missing. Their deaths were ruled homicides.

Mitchell’s next court appearance has not been scheduled.
