Wisconsin's Colton Joseph named top 10 quarterback in Big Ten

The Wisconsin Badgers have been unlucky when it comes to getting their best quarterbacks on the field, and Old Dominion transfer Colton Joseph may represent head coach Luke Fickell’s last chance to get things right with the Badgers. According to college football analyst Josh Pate, the hype around the former 4-star transfer is real, as Pate placed Joseph as the Big Ten’s 9th-best quarterback. While 9th may feel a little low, considering the talent sitting in the top five of Pate’s list, ninth is not an insult by any means. Joseph joins the Badgers after two years with the Monarchs, where the now-junior compiled 4,251 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and just 15 interceptions, while measuring out a 2.9% interception rate.

Joseph also brings a stellar running presence, having added 1,654 yards and 24 rushing touchdowns and an average of 78.8 rushing yards per game. Above everything else, Joseph will be tasked with leading the Badgers to their second-ever bowl under Fickell, who is marshalling a 17-21 record heading into his fourth full season with Wisconsin.
