After a thrilling nine-inning showdown in game one, the Wisconsin Badgers punched their ticket to the winners’ bracket.
Shelby Jacobson was three pitches shy of matching her career high as she allowed just one run on six hits against Baylor. In the end, the Badgers prevailed, 2-1.
Both teams left a combined 19 runners stranded in a game that was scoreless until the bottom of the sixth. Thankfully for Wisconsin, they have a couple of extra hours of rest over Texas.
Game 3 of the Austin Regional now sees Wisconsin vs. Texas, with the winner punching their ticket to the Regional Finals on Sunday, May 17.
For now, though, all the Badgers can do is focus on one game at a time.
Similar to yesterday, Badgers Wire will have live coverage of this game once the first pitch is thrown in Austin!
