Appleton East girls basketball
The Patriots went 6-0 in December, including wins over Kimberly, Hortonville and Neenah. They are 9-1 overall and are ranked fifth in the state in Division 1 in the MaxPreps/WBCA Coaches poll.
Appleton North boys basketball
The Lightning went 7-2 in December and closed the month with victories over Homestead and West Allis Central at the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout. They are outscoring opponents by an average of 18.1 points per game. North is 9-2 overall and ranked sixth in Division 1 in the Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports poll.
Fox Valley Lutheran girls basketball
The Foxes were 6-0 in December and are 8-2 overall. They have outscored opponents by an average of 20.5 points per game.
Freedom boys basketball
The Irish went 7-0 in December, including a 74-58 win over Brookfield Central at the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout. They are outscoring opponents by an average of 22.8 points per game this season. Freedom is 9-0 overall and ranked No. 1 in the state in Division 3 in the Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports poll.
Kaukauna boys basketball
The Ghosts were 7-0 in December, including victories over Appleton North at the buzzer, Middleton and Marquette University at the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout. They are outscoring opponents by an average of 22.9 points per game. Kaukauna is 8-0 overall and ranked second in Division 1 in the Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports poll.
Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha boys hockey
The Rockets entered January with an 11-1 record, including 8-1 in December. NHM scored 47 goals and allowed only 12 during its nine games in the month. The Rockets are ranked fourth in the state in Division 1 in the latest Wisconsin Prep Hockey poll.
Seymour boys basketball
The Thunder went 7-0 in December, including wins over Notre Dame, Xavier and Kimberly. Seymour is outscoring opponents by an average of 19.7 points per game and is ranked third in Division 3 in the latest Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports poll with a 9-0 overall record.
St. Mary Catholic girls basketball
The Zephyrs went 8-0 in December and are 11-0 overall. They have outscored teams by an average of 23.3 points per game and are allowing only 36.9 points per contest. SMC is ranked No. 2 in the state in Division 4 by MaxPreps.
Winneconne girls basketball
The Wolves went 8-0 in December, including a key Bay Conference win over Xavier. They are outscoring opponents by an average of 29.7 points per game on the way to an 11-1 overall record. Winneconne is ranked sixth in the state in Division 3 by MaxPreps.
